After a busy week, I finally had the chance to sit down and read my new W Magazine. There was a fascinating article about the controversial Chinese artist, Ai Weiwei with a fantastic pictorial spread. The team at W used technology to collaborate with the artist from his home in China, a method the artist has been famous for using in his own work. With a huge social media following, Weiwei understands the value of the internet and considers it so important in his world and life. It is so important for him to stay connected. When being detained, he commented on how the most difficult part for him was to live in complete isolation without any connection to the outside world or any human emotion. The talented artist is known for his artistic talent and political voice and continues to be heard, despite all of his challenges.
